Name of Project: Combo Corset-T by Annie Modesitt
Yarn: Patons Cotton Top
Yardage: 600 yards for a Size 34
Needles: Size US 3 Knit Picks circulars
Estimated Time to Complete Project: 3 weeks
Pattern Notes: The only really hard thing about this pattern was trying to decide what size to make. I'm a 36/38" but like things to fit snugly with negative ease. I knew I probably wasn't going to like the way a 38" was going to fit, so I opted for the 34". I was a little skeptical but thought that since I was using yarn that was not likely to hold it's shape very well, I thought that it would shape itself to my body.I'm really happy with the way it turned out and I think it's very cute.
Below is how it starts out. It knits from the top down, and the lace pattern is what makes the zig zag edging.
The lace part I had to concentrate on a little bit, but the body was just 20 inches of ribbing. It was the perfect project for World Wide Knit in Public Day & Stitch N Pitch. With all of the distractions surrounding those events, there was no way I would have been able to work on anything more complicated.
The buttons I pulled out of a tin of buttons that used to belong to my grandma. There were two sets of six, and they were 25 cents a set.
I'm off to the Fair tomorrow, finally to see the fate of my Butterfly Shawl. I get to pick it up on Monday, because this is the last weekend of the San Diego Fair. I'm glad we're going on the Fourth of July, because the fair fireworks kick ass.
Also, my friends and I are local celebrities...Check out this article and this video of the Stitch N Pitch. That event gets funner(is that a word?) each time I go.

It turned out really cute! P.S. I haven't been able to stop thinking about spinning. Matt may ban me from seeing you again!
Super pretty, and feminine! I will have to try my hand at one :)
