The New Addition

It struck me as I was putting together strips for a very special baby blanket, that 12 different people had a hand in making it and it came together perfectly.

The intended recipient for this project came about two weeks early, and we weren't finished with it yet. It was finished shortly after, but we had to wait for the happy mama to be ready to come back to knit night.

Baby Joanna is six and one half weeks old, and attended her first knitting circle. She is such a beautiful baby! And she looked so good wrapped up in our beautiful blanket.

The specifications for each strip were:
  • The strip should be 4" x 30".
  • Start and end the strip with 6 rows of Garter stitch.
  • You may use any stitch pattern as long as the total width equals 4 inches, WITH 3 garter stitches on each side.
I crocheted the strips together and crocheted a border around.

I was lucky enough to be able to feed her a bottle while she was there and burped her the same way my boys liked to be burp. It totally made my day!

Welcome to our wonderful knitting circle Joanna, we love you!
